While Neuroliminal Brain Wave Training works by using subliminal messaging techniques, it's really a distant cousin of the "usual" subliminal messaging. That's mostly used for behavior modification in general, and while it can work well when used correctly, it often doesn't work too well using some of the generalized" tapes or CD's from the web.
What this new usage does is to actually change the Amplitude of certain brain waves. This is exactly what EEG biofeedback (Neurofeedback) does, and the Bate Neuroliminal Brain Wave Training system is very analogous to EEG BF. This has been proven by a series of tests from 2004 to the present.
First, let's talk about what subliminal messages are, and how they work. The word subliminal means "below the threshold". In this context, it means not consciously heard (or seen), but the unconscious (AKA subconscious in some jargons) does hear, and it's gradually influenced by the constant repetitions of this message.
In my former practice as an Orthomolecular Psychologist, I used subliminal messaging for many different brain problems, and was amazed by how well they worked in most cases.
I used a 3 minute endless (repeating) audio cassette tape, and the patient simply placed the tape recorder near the bed, adjusted the sound to be comfortable, so that the overlaying (soothing) sound didn't wake or disturb them, and went to sleep. Within a week or so, many people were very surprised at the results. It solved many phobias, compulsions, and various ego problems. I even had three "flashers" who never flashed again after a week or two of this "behavior modification" therapy.
Next, consider what is done by using EEG biofeedback for all those serious brain problems. Basically, we hook up sensors to the person, and use very sensitive amplifiers to "listen" to the brain waves, filter them, so that we can separate them from each other, and put the result on the computer monitor. However, the basic requirement for most EEG Biofeedback training is to raise one particular brain wave (named SMR) which is about 12-14Hz (cycles per second).
For some attention problems, NASA found that by lowering or controlling the Theta Band (4-7 Hz), attention and concentration increased. For many years now, this combination of raising SMR and lowering Theta has been used in EEG BF clinics with great success for the ADD/ADHD/Autism continuum in particular.
I came out of retirement in 2000 to start a leasing company to make it much less expensive to do EEG BF at home. It's not brain surgery, and anyone with more than three brain cells rubbing together can learn how to do it.
One day in April, 2004, I suddenly realized that since we are working to train the unconscious mind, why not use subliminal training instead of all that expensive EEG biofeedback equipment and computers. It was also a chance to find out if my theory that raising the 12-14Hz brain wave changes the brains reaction to allergens.
To test this set of theories, I asked for "paying" volunteers", i.e., they would pay me a deposit, and if they reported weekly or more, they would get the deposit back after a month or two. There were two sets of initial similar tests. The results (even if anecdotal) were amazing! Well over half of the volunteers solved various brain problems ranging from depression, insomnia, and ADD/ADHD improvement. Only one volunteer out of 60+ in these original tests even asked for their money back!
The results to date with hundreds of these Neuroliminal Brain Wave Training systems sold, shows clearly that this system is comparable to EEG BF in success rate (85+%), and costs only a fraction of the EEG BF/NFB cost. No expensive "doctor time". It's even much less expensive than leasing the EEG BF equipment, and just as effective, so I have gone out of that business as a result!
The 3rd test consisted of 23 persons who actually finished more than 4 weeks of this training, with most of the ADD/ADHD finishing 8-10 weeks. ALL of these experienced improvement comparable to EEG BF. (Only one person asked for their money back, and investigation showed that this person's son was "brain-damaged".) Even in this case, the father said, "it seemed to improve him in the beginning"
Of the many insomnia problems over the past 3+ years, only two failures reported for a success rate over 90%. The results for depression have been just as good.
Many also have reported several different allergy/sensitivity symptoms that are not considered "brain problems" were solved as well. These ranged over the entire allergy spectrum. This discovery holds promise for anaphylactic persons who may die if stung by insects, eat peanuts, etc. Volunteer tests for this as well Alzheimer's, PTSD, Parkinson's, etc are ongoing.
